Custom Label Designer
SmarTaly® LE’s label designer is simple and visually-oriented; users see labels as they would be printed, and can work with familiar resizing, font, and alignment tools to manipulate labels as desired.
Our label designer also allows a user to generate standard label designs at one main location, and then sync their changes to remote mill locations when necessary. This process ensures seamless production consistency across your entire operation.
Intuitive Setup & Operator Screens
SmarTally® LE allows supervisors to select which products are available in production, and to assign them to specific locations on the operator’s screen. This custom layout, and the added ability to select the colouring of each product button, allows supervisors to organize products and reduce the chances of a product being labelled incorrectly. When it comes time to print labels for finished products, operators need only press the button for the appropriate product and the system will produce the correct label.
Automated Printing
The product entry process was developed to be simple and straight forward, where the operator is only required to enter three parameters: Size, Grade and Length. Based on those three parameters, SmarTally® LE is able to determine the product that the operator is printing and generate a label on-screen containing all of the necessary information for the product.
Labels can be automatically generated and printed when a package arrives at the strapper to be wrapped. SmarTally® LE’s automated label printing interface is also capable of tying in to your existing Allen-Bradley PLC network to obtain the details for the product being printed, and automatically print and tally the label as the package arrives.
Remanufacturing Support
SmarTally® LE includes a function for remanufactured lumber. Simply choose a product to consume and a product to produce within the software; the consumed products will be taken out of inventory, and the produced products will be added to inventory.
Multiple Printer Support
Support for multiple printers with different media is also supported. It is possible to configure each product uniquely to use a combination of printers and media. For example, higher grade lumber may require three labels to be printed while others require two or one on varying media. SmarTally® LE makes setting up the media for each product a simple and straight forward process.
